Announcing Gasconade County's 2020 Gasconade Fall Plein Air Event.
Artist: We would like to invite you to come experience painting historical downtown Owensville and Rosebud Missouri. Open to all artist but limited to 30 for our second year. Come paint Downtown Owensville with It's brightly painted bicycles that line the historical storefronts. Then paint charming Rosebud, which is known for the amazing antique and shabby sheek stores named Rosebud's "Magnificent Mile". Estate paint outs will be held on beautiful private properties with rolling hills a lake and even horses to capture the fall colors just minutes from town. Registration for artist is $30 and will include the early bird booth this year. Secure your spot today. Sunday the awards and sale will be at White Mule Winery. We have added an additional day this year for less driving. We have structured this year for more time to paint and enjoy the company of the locals and other artist by only having one judging per day at 4:30 pm. Come out and make this an event to remember. The Cities are excited to have you. Owensville is located in south central of Gasconade County, Missouri. The City is approximately 70.8 miles southwest of St. Louis, 55.5 miles southeast of Jefferson City, and 22.3 miles north of Cuba (I-44). Gasconade county has many quaint towns nearby and eventually we would like to expand the days and painting area to include Belle, Drake, Swiss and Herman. Owensville was once known as the "Gateway of the Ozarks".
We have limited host homes and RV sites available for those of you traveling more than 50 miles.
Art Patrons: The public is invited to observe the artist as they create their impressions of Gasconade County each day at 4 different events hosted by local businesses and property owners. We welcome you to come meet the artist at each event and learn about their different processes. You will have the opportunity for viewing the art created and may purchase after each event (Seasons of Faith location starting at 4:30 each day) as well as Sunday at White Mule Winery from 11:30 - 4pm.
The Artist Final Event Awards will be announced on Sunday at 11am.
